“Intro” Forge a Bronze Bracelet

Solid Bronze, easy to hammer.

Make one, or forge out two in a row!

Our bracelets are fun to make, beautiful, and possibly worth more than this class*

Silicon Bronze is a great beginner metal. It’s mostly copper, with a pink tint that’s hard to photograph but quite charming in-person. Under our expert guidance, you’ll learn essential safety practices and competent techniques for tapering, bending, and texturing bronze. You’ll have plenty of time to “finish” your bracelet(s) with textures, personalized stamping on the inside and/or polished edges.

*(we tried finding a bracelet on Etsy or eBay to market this class against, but there’s nothing this chunky out there)

This class includes:

Extensive safety training, PPE, a tour of our smithy, demonstrations, and guided forging time.

Concepts taught:

Safety, tools, hammer control, tongs control, temperature control, tapering, bending, rough polishing and filing.

Had an amazing time learning how to make a bronze bracelet with Celeste. Highly recommend taking one of the beginner classes, she’s a patient teacher and walks you through the entire process (including safety!). Fun experience of learning blacksmithing techniques while creating something you can take home. I’ll be taking more classes soon!

An ideal outfit is closed toed leather or cotton shoes w/rubber soles, a t-shirt (long sleeves OK), and jeans. Long hair should be tied up in a really cute way. Stud earrings are OK but larger earrings should be removed, the radiant heat can and will heat them! Aprons, goggles, and ear protection are provided.
