“Intro” Forge a Bronze Bracelet

A soft introduction to forging

Make a copper and or bronze braclet in this simple class

Bronze has been used in ornamentation for millenia. Hammered bronze jewelery is a beatiful ornament that will last a life time.

Your first challenge will be to hammer a bar with accuracy and precision. Copper is a soft, forgiving metal and is great practice for a first time blacksmith. After you practice your hammer control with copper you will level up to creating a second braclet out of silicon bronze. You’ll learn essential safety practices and competent techniques for tapering, bending, and texturing. Students will have the opportunity to texture their bracelets creatively with and personalize the inside of the bracelet with stamped lettering

Our shorter “date night” classes teach the same concepts while making a single copper bracelet. Make one for you person and stamp their initials or an important date on the inside

This class includes:

Extensive safety training, PPE, a tour of our smithy, demonstrations, and guided forging time.

Concepts taught:

Safety, tong and hammer use, controlled forging, temperature control, tapering, bending, rough polishing and filing.

Had an amazing time learning how to make a bronze bracelet with Celeste. Highly recommend taking one of the beginner classes, she’s a patient teacher and walks you through the entire process (including safety!). Fun experience of learning blacksmithing techniques while creating something you can take home. I’ll be taking more classes soon!
