Delightful Gifts Ideas for Plant Lovers This Mother's Day

It’s a beautiful and warm spring day and a lovely day to spend in the garden. With Mother’s Day around the corner, I thought it would be a good time to share some delightful gift ideas  for a plant lover in your life. Whether that be your mother or for your own indulgence.

While online marketplaces such as Etsy can sometimes be a mixed bag, I love this little handmade bird feeder from CherylWoffGarden. Her store is filled with wonderful handmade ceramics intended to be used in the garden. I looked into Cheryl and found  is a professional ceramicist working in Walnut Creek, CA. She shows at many galleries around the bay.

A beautiful new plant is a welcome gift to any garden. It’s even better if it’s displayed in a handmade ceramic vessel.

If you live in the bay area you can find handmade ceramics at Abrams Claghorn Gallery in Albany, CA. The owner, Robert Abrams is a ceramicist himself and would only carry the highest quality work.

I of course have to mention my fun forged seahorse hooks that are hanging outside in my garden. These are hammered into shape from a square bar of solid aluminum bronze. I spent years perfecting this method and I am still in love with the design. They are a lighthearted and fun addition to a garden. Currently, they are on sale for 25% off thru May 10th.

I came across this beautiful practical garden apron, and even though it’s not artist-made, I thought it was such a great item to include.

It comes in thick waxed cotton, has lots of pockets for tools and one for your phone. This apron looks stylish and has great reviews. It is being sold by a small business based in Loomis, CA.

Artist Blacksmith, Brett Clevland creates beautiful handmade garden decorations that are sure to add a touch of lighthearted fun to any garden. I love this kinetic sculpture and it looks like the birds do too.

Brett has plenty of options to choose from, but things take time to make and ship. I can’t guarantee they will arrive in time for Mother’s Day
