Day 2

Canoes and Camping

Diner breakfast or food at the Bnb. Any preference?

Check in at Burke’s Canoes between 10am-11:30am

I’ve reserved 2 canoes and a kayak, since we now have five people on Friday. We can switch off between boats if we want.

It’s a 10 mile journey. It’s a long trip but super easy. The rental place has a shuttle to return us and the boats.

Lunch, we can all pick up snacks or sandwiches and drinks from the deli.

We will be camping at Burke’s canoes. Jon and I are thinking of grilling burgers and roasting marshmallows. We are going to buy ingredients in town.

They sell firewood on site. Rental for camp plus firewood $40-$50

Day 1 -

Lazy River and AirBnb in Forestville

Jon and I will be arriving around noon and going to Steelhead beach.

We usually park in the large parking lot across from Mirabel Park. We have a raft so we enter through the Mirabel campgrounds and then float down the river to the beach. Map below will show you all the locations

There is also a trail a little down the street. It’s about a half mile walk to the beach

Recommended to bring for the river.

  • Sandals or water shoes

  • Camp chair

  • Snacks and or food for lunch

  • Water and anything else to drink

  • Innertube or something to float on if desired

Check in for AirBnb is at 4pm. No rush to get there. They said all cars must be parked in carport. Maximum of 3 cars. One car will probably have to be parked elsewhere.

Jon and I will be buying pizza for dinner. BYOB
